Will your photo be accepted?

Upload it and find out in a few seconds. We check it against the official US rules and fix whatever can be fixed without touching your face.

We crop, resize, and convert — operations on the file, not the picture. We never retouch, change the background, or alter your appearance, because U.S. rules forbid it. If the background or lighting is wrong, the only honest fix is to retake the shot.

    Crop only
Your face, skin and background stay exactly as you shot them — we crop to the official frame and export a JPEG.

    Full resolution without watermark: $4.99

Print the 4×6 at any photo lab (~$0.35) and cut out 6 photos, or print the A4 / Letter sheet at home and cut out 20. In-store they charge $16.99 for one set.

What you get: the same photo, correctly cropped and sized. We never retouch your face, skin or background — US rules prohibit it, and it gets applications rejected.

A quick checklist for a photo that won't be rejected

The rules also cover eight things no image file can prove. Check them yourself — it takes ten seconds.

    • Bare head and face — no glasses, hat, head covering or scarf, unless documented religious or medical reasons apply.
    • Both eyes open and clearly visible, with no hair falling across them and no red-eye.
    • A neutral expression or a closed-mouth smile — no teeth showing.
    • Taken within the last 6 months, so it still looks like you today.
    • Even lighting on both sides of your face, and no shadow on your face or the wall.
    • Sharp and in focus — not blurry, and not a phone photo of a printed photo.
    • A plain background, and the bottom of the frame reaches your shoulders.
    • No filters, retouching or AI editing — we see the pixels, not the edit history.

Unsure about any of these? Retaking the photo takes two minutes. A rejection takes weeks.

    Questions people ask before paying

Will my photo definitely be accepted?

No tool can promise that. We check it against the rules published by the U.S. Department of State and tell you what we can measure. The consular officer or passport agency makes the final call, and they also judge things no software can see — expression, headwear, whether the photo looks like you today.

What we can promise: if a photo passes every check we run and is still rejected, we redo it free.

    Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. The check, the crop and the export all happen in your browser using JavaScript on your own device. Your photo is never transmitted to us or to anyone else. Close the tab and it is gone.

Can I use a photo from my phone?

Yes — that is what most people do. What matters is the result: plain background, even lighting, sharp focus, and a neutral expression. Avoid using a phone's portrait or beauty mode; those filters alter your face and that alone can get an application rejected.

Do you remove or replace the background?

No, and no legitimate tool should. U.S. rules prohibit digitally altering a photo to change how you look, and an edited background falls under that. If your background is not plain, the fix is a new photo against a white wall — not software.

What if my photo is rejected after I pay?

If it passes every check we run and is still rejected, we redo it free — send us the order number and the rejection notice. If the tool warned you about something and you submitted anyway, that one is on the photo, not on the tool.

Can I print it at a pharmacy?

Yes. You get print sheets in three sizes: 4×6 with six 2×2 copies for a photo lab, and A4 or US Letter with twenty copies each for a home printer. All carry fine cut lines. A 4×6 print costs about 35 cents at CVS or Walgreens; the same store charges around $17 to take the photo for you.

    Are you a government service?

No. We are an independent tool. We read the same published rules the government does, but we are not affiliated with any agency and we cannot submit anything on your behalf.
